Piedmont Avenue Annual Holiday Stroll and

Tree Lighting Ceremony on Saturday

The Piedmont Avenue Merchant Association’s Annual Holiday Stroll and Tree Lighting Ceremony takes place this Saturday, December 2nd.

The Holiday Stroll begins at 10am and continues throughout the day and evening. Stop by your favorite retailers for special discounts and festivities and enjoy flat rate PARKING at Piedmont Avenue Elementary School (Piedmont Avenue and Echo) provided by Piedmont Avenue Elementary School’s Dad’s Club. All proceeds benefit programs at the school.

Events at Key Route Plaza (41st and Piedmont Avenue) will include:

  • 3:30 to 4:30pm -- Ornament Making sponsored by the Friends of the Piedmont Avenue Branch Library and the Piedmont Avenue Branch Library. All children and the “young at heart” are encouraged to come and make an ornament of their choice.
  • 4:45 to 5:30pm -- Performance by The Pacific Boychoir Academy.
  • 5:30pm -- Santa’s arrival and Tree Lighting!

Refreshments will be served and Santa will be available for pictures.

Philippa Roberts and her staff from Philippa Roberts Jewelry will be decorating the tree for the fourth year in a row. “We always order the biggest Silver Tip from the Piedmont Boy Scout Tree Lot and have it delivered,” Philippa said. Then they use their own decorations inspired by the Philippa Roberts store.
